TOBA Coffee Project

In collaboration with GIZ, UTZ, and PT. Indo Cafco, The Development Cafe implemented the TOBA Project to strengthen the resilience of coffee farmers in North Sumatra, Indonesia, in the face of climate change. The project introduced climate-smart technologies, the UTZ Code of Conduct, and income diversification strategies. A baseline study was conducted, followed by comprehensive training for agronomists and farmers in monitoring and evaluation to support informed decision-making and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The project is nearing completion, with key findings currently being summarized.
