European Evaluation Society’s EvalEdge Podcast

The Development Cafe and the European Evaluation Society (EES) collaborated on a podcast exploring cutting-edge technologies’ use in evaluation work. The first episode of the series, available on the EES website, examined how new technologies were changing evaluation and how traditional evaluation methods could be used to evaluate new ideas.

Throughout the episode, experts in evaluation and technology discussed how artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data could be used to make assessments more effective and impactful. They also shared real-world examples of these technologies used in evaluation projects and discussed the best practices for their implementation.

The partnership between Development Cafe and EES provided an opportunity to promote the use of technology in evaluation work and support the development of evaluation professionals’ skills. The podcast series aimed to raise awareness of how new technologies could improve evaluation practice and encourage more research and use of these tools.
